The honours degree in Architecture gives exemption from Part 1 of the Examination in Architecture of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).

Applied Design in Architecture (MArchD) at Oxford Brookes is for those who wish to become professionally qualified in the UK and provides ARB Part 2.
It is also possible, through the Major Study design specialisation, to spend half of the course pursuing your own research and design programme.

The course is intended for students who have completed their professional role-orientated education and wish to undertake speculative design-based research.
