PASSAGES, Architecture for Flowing and Connecting Spaces

What role do architects play in shaping the spaces of mobility? What is the architectural potential of spaces shaped by movement? What forms of public space emerge along the lines of mobility? How do spaces of flow influence the experience of the contemporary city?

The International Conference will take place on 24th-26th September 2025 at the Politecnico di Milano, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies.

The symposium aims to gather contributions from European researchers and PhD candidates engaged in exploring the contribution of architecture in shaping the spaces of mobility.

PhD candidates – or researchers, practitioners and postgraduates who have defended their thesis and PhD dissertation within the last 5 years can propose a contribution.
