The sixth Deans' Summit will be hosted by the CVUT, Prague from 16-17 April 2026.

The theme of the Summit is BACK TO BASICS: Rethinking Curriculum through Making.
Architecture does not start on a screen, it starts with making. In a complex, digital and fragmented world, architectural education needs to simplify what matters, collaborate through hands-on learning, and reconnect with the physical reality of building. This Dean’s Summit places curriculum at the center of the debate and explores how learning structures can be reshaped to support design–build education, material awareness and real responsibility. Through the lenses of curriculum transformation, collaborative making and material experimentation from the very first year of study, the summit invites schools to rethink how architects are educated today. The question is clear: how can architectural curricula be redesigned to be simpler, more collaborative and better connected to practice, research and innovation?

Invited keynote speaker is ERIK SOMMERFELD from the College of Architecture and Planning, University of Colorado Denver (USA).
